Learn how our organic/biodynamic wines are made with indigenous grape varietals on a terroir comprising of sedimentary clay, gravel sands and alluvial silt with marine fossils, which 4 million years ago was under the sea. You will walk through our vineyards, where we will explain how we work with the soil and vines to sustain our organic/biodynamic certification and the difference that makes to the quality of the grapes. A tour of our new cantina will help you understand how we turn the grapes into wine and the variety of techniques we use including whole bunch fermentation and our amphora tanks. We will also explain how we use some techniques of precision viticulture technology. At the end of this tour, you will get to see the magnificent views from the terrace, taste our wines and olive oil paired with local produce.
Weather permitting, we will hold the wine tasting on the terrace of our brand-new wine tasting room overlooking spectacular views of Umbria and Tuscany, including views of the local calanchi. Otherwise, it will be held inside, with panoramic views of Cetona and Citta della Pieve.
We offer 3 different types of experience, which will last between 1 and 2 hours.
- Winery tour including tasting of 4 wines (2 whites, 2 reds) and olive oil (with the option of being accompanied by locally produced cheeses).
- Vineyard and Winery tour including tasting of 4 wines (2 whites, 2 reds) and olive oil accompanied by locally produced cheeses.
- Farm, Vineyard and Winery tour including 4 wine tastings (2 whites, 2 reds) and olive oil accompanied by locally produced cheeses and cold cuts.
