Taste and flavour profile
Ruby red colour with floral aromas of violet alongside dark fruits such as blackberry and cherry. The wine is very approachable on the palate with a hint of spicy white pepper, firm tannins that are well integrated and a soft round finish.

Description

Vinification
Hand harvested. Destemmed, pressed, temperature-controlled fermentation. Sangiovese is aged in second or third use oak barrels for 1 year before being blended with the other varieties to allow a further year ageing in bottle.

South facing organic certified vineyards located 490 – 530 metres a.s.l. The soil is ocean floor from the mid Pliocene period (5.3 to 2.6 million years ago), comprising of sedimentary clay, gravel sands and alluvial silt with marine fossils. Planting density c.5200 plants/ha. Yield : 35hl/ha. Cordon spur Training method.
