SARNERO

This wine is an expression of our focus on sustainable farming, together with the pine cone symbolising regeneration and eternal life. Its name, Sarnero, represents our children who are the very embodiment of that future.

Taste and flavour profile
On the nose, vanilla, cinnamon, blue raspberry, fresh plum, balsamic notes. It has good acidity balanced by well-integrated tannins.

Description

Vinification
Hand harvested and picked from a carefully selected plot in one of our highest vineyards. Destemmed, pressed, temperature-controlled fermentation. Aged in oak barrels for 18 months and then a further year in bottle.

South facing organic certified vineyards located 490 – 530 metres a.s.l. The soil is ocean floor from the mid Pliocene period (5.3 to 2.6 million years ago), comprising of sedimentary clay, gravel sands and alluvial silt with marine fossils. Planting density c.5200 plants/ha. Yield : 35hl/ha. Guyot Training method.
